No longer in vogue to use the word "sequel." Latest term is "companion to". The new term is meant to convey, "The author probably wrote these books in a certain order, but the publishers don't want you to at all hesitate buying/reading this one for the mere reason that you haven't bought/read the first one." Be brave, people. A sequel is a sequel.
